Kadayawan 2008

Madayaw na adlaw sa aking fellow bloggers. Were celebrating one of the biggest event happening in our city now the " KADAYAWAN FESTIVAL ". The theme for this year is "Musanay Lumadnong Kagikan, Yutang Kabilin Panalipdan!" (“Flourishing Indigenous Heritage, Protecting Ancestral Nations”).

A week full of surprises and events. Mall wide sales and bunch of tourist visit our city in this once a year event. Davao City is blessed, despite some war on the other side of Mindanao. Davao City stay peaceful and calm.

A few days ago, me and my colleague went to Ozmeña Park to see houses of Tribong Dabawenyo. It was created few weeks ago to allocate shelter for those tribes who want to celebrate the occasion and to show as all as well on how they lived. This year is all for our Indigenous fellow men. I also heard that the Hiyas ng Davao candidates was from all tribong dabawenyo, unlike those past years. This is more exciting and fun to watch, but sadly I did not witness this event..too bad..

It's not yet late, you can come and visit davao and enjoy the durian, events such as "Indak -Indak sa kadlanan ", "Floral Parade " and lots of night party.. c yah all!weeehh

What tah day!

08-16-2008 Saturday..It started after our shift me and my officemates decided to ate breakfast. We ended up eating in a small "karendiria" along bonifacio st. beside UIC (my collge school). After eating we decided to hangout @ Jay's crib. His place is small but supeh clean plus he has his unique sense of style that make his place more pleasing ..yepheee... We wait till 11a.m then I went home to have some rest. Raquel,Majar,Jay,Mylene and Ya Erwin went to Gaisano Mall of Davao to watch " A Very Special Love ".weeehhhh

5 pm my cousin wake me up. We will be going to Damosa to watch Auto Drift by PLDT my DSL. weeehh.. The show started 4 pm, we arrived around 7 pm..duh..hehe I though I could never witness those tricky moves..Luckily we catch on the last show of the night..perfect!...The show is awesome!... It is my first time to watch Auto Drift. It drive me crazy.. haha.. rock on...! Click Here to watch video on the event...

hmmm.. my day is not yet over..hehe..I have to separate ways w/ my cousins and go gimik with my college friends..weeeh... hazel and chai fetch me up @ Damosa. As usual, we don't have any idea were to go..what's new guys?!..haha... After a moment we decided to unwind @ rizal we watch the "calendar and bachelor show".. We reminisce old days again.. were a bit sad, cause we miss our other friends... we used to be 8 - 10 folks when we go out but now were only 3..huhu.. it is really sad.. but then we have to chill and enjoy the night ayt?..things are really changing now but were always be friends no matter what....hai..

Guess what? were not yet done..hehe... I guess about 12 midnight when we decided to go to other place, we get bored with the show - "mas pretty pa kami sa mga calendar babes -wahaha..tsk!tsk!"... we first thought of going to "bakbak or idol" along tores but when we pass on the place is too crowded.. grrrr.. so to spend our last stop we went to "Nezz 4 Cafe" along autoshop. We have some coffee and chitchat till 2 am... "Opaw" one of our close friend went there to accompany us as well..

Missing old days...

I really miss my college days. I miss hanging out with my folks, I miss our daily routine,I miss my girl friends who I use to laugh with, sharing dark secrets..hehe and nice thoughts narin...I simply miss being with them. I miss old days were I can sleep as much as I want,I can skip classes and go to the mall, be in my friends crib and chitchat all they long, no worries, hassle free and less responsibility. hai.. But then life must go on right?.. I must learn to move on and embrace happily the life I had right now...I'm blessed to have my friends there really are a big part of who I'am today... I'm always thankful for all the memories and experiences we been through... It mold me to a better and a happy person... We have different set of life now...We have separate dreams to pursue...but then I would never forget how it feels to be with each other..(sigh) Miss U dudes...

Yhol's Bday...

We celebrated yhol's(my cousins hobby) birthday @ Umandak Beach Resort, Mabini. July 06,2008. Fresh from davao we arrive @ the beach around 12 nn. Weeehhh... the place is nice...so fresh!.. at last I can feel now the calmness and beauty of the sea...hehe... another time to relax after a long week of work...hahai..love it!... We did not enjoy much the beach cause its raining and the water is so cold... so what i did is talk with my cousins, my bhe and other visitors.. I also enjoy playing with althea my ina anak, daughter of my cousin Fernil..hehe.. ended it was a very relaxing Sunday!... craving for more...hehe... Happy Birthday Yhol!...

Saturday,June 28,2008 is Nica's Birthday celebration, a daughter of my college classmate and friend Lyka. Me and my college friends barely see each other since we graduated college. We have different set of lives now a days. I always grab occasion like this, this were only times when we see each other again and reminisce old days. Although not all of us were on the party, some are in the province and other just can't resist there other obligation, they just send greetings for Nica. I'm happy seeing some of them knowing that nothing change except that we get older with much responsibility but the friendship we build is still the same as before. We still the old wild beings, really wild, a bit crazy, talented(??)..hihi..Friends who can trust with, real and true. They would always remain my precious treasure...

We usually celebrate birthdays of our officemates with something special like we bought cake, give something really unusual. But here comes June 16,08. For me, its just like an ordinary day,go to work have some chitchat with gurl friends. When I arrived @ work some of the boys are outside the office they normally do it anyway..(hehe)...I noticed that they took some pictures but it doesn't bother me. As I reached my seat my gurlfriend raquel told me that its kuya ewin's birthday! Whaaatt!!!hmmmm..."kaya pala my picture2x sa labas" hihi...I found out that only few of our colleague new that its his big day! so we never had a plan on how to have a special gift to him.. Were sorry kuya.. this post is one way of saying thank you to you for being so nice to us..Happy2x Birthday!

Paintball Experience

June 9,08 @ MTS Matina, the night shift AoV against played paintball.In celebration of our independence!weeh..lol..The Experience is really cool and unforgettable. We all had a great time, the feeling is unexplainable..haha..Since its my first time to play this kind of game everything seems new to me, from wearing the body armour, holding the gun and even seeing the paint bullets. haha..ignoy!..My hands and feet are shaking while I'm @ the field..haha..weeehhh.. but it was ended super duper fun!

We had an unusual Saturday since we did not do our routine. After work we just go home and take a rest to get ready for the night out. The group landed @ VISA videok bar, @ the back of victorial plaza, we rent one of the exclusive rooms to get chill, unwind, have fun and to celebrate the special day of our dear friend miemot..:)

Me and lyra went @ around 9:30 pm. I thought were late but good thing the group did not start yet. Raquel the gimikira - take note "si Raquel na ang gimikira hindi na si lyra" ...take the lead to start singing yeah... " the holaback girl! -"this mah shit - this mah shit" ...peace out...hehe... Until the group of james a friend of amie got in, and there really had a great voice pero hmmm... never patalo ang aming singer na si raquel plus our diva Jay...haha.. As we go on... w/ the company of RH and Empe!.. cyempre "choli" zud us tanan...hahah...unsa pa peng!...
